HOT ROD Drag Week 2018 Day 4- Killer Pictures from Thunder Valley!

HOT ROD Drag Week 2018, powered by Dodge and presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive

Thunder Valley, the dragstrip at historic Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennesse, hosted day four of HOT ROD Drag Week. Literally set in a valley next to the NASCAR track, the surrounding hills echoed with the sound of horsepower as Drag Week competitors set out to conquer the track.

Read our day four recap here, and find the official results here.

Standouts of the day’s action at the track was Tom Bailey, who made a 7.469 at 145.30 mph pass, which was off the pace for him, but enough to maintain his overall lead and lead of the Ultimate class. This was after working all night the previous night rebuilding his engine after breaking a piston ring land the day before.

The quickest and fastest pass at Bristol was laid down by Ultimate Iron class competitor Bryant Goldstone. His twin turbo Javelin ran a 6.943 at 212.79 mph.

Our drive took us through some beautiful scenic roads heading back to Atlanta for the final day of Drag Week 2018. Check out the gallery!
