The 4×4² moniker refers to the portal axles that are identical to the G500 4×4². Other key features are the 60 cm (23.6 in) ground clearance, electronically adjustable suspension and four driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Off-Road and Individual. By selecting the latter, the damper rate of each axle can be adjusted individually.
Powering the Brabus 700 4×4² is the G63’s twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8, married to a 7-speed auto. It has been tuned to produce 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) (hence the ‘700’ moniker) and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque, up from the standard 571 PS (563 hp / 420 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft). The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration is completed in 5.0 seconds, and top speed is electronically capped at 210 km/h (130 mph), due to the off-road tires.
Carbon fender flares, roof spoiler above the windshield with DRLs, 9.5×22-inch rims wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires and skid plates that protect the engine, driveline and fuel tank during off-roading are also standard on the 700 4×4².
The interior of the SUV has been reupholstered with a two-tone black/light brown leather. Optionally, the tuner can fit other upholsteries, as well as wood or carbon fiber elements in different colors and grains, and power-retractable steps that facilitate ingress and egress.
Brabus has limited the 700 4×4² Final Edition to only 10 examples, finished in either black or white. Export pricing starts at €209,000, without tax, which equals to $237,248 at today’s exchange rates.
