AMG got its hands on the car when it was still a fully-independent tuner and before Mercedes-Benz snapped it up. Only approximately 50 units of the 560SEC AMG 6.0 were ever produced and, back in thew day, it had truly extraordinary performance.
Sitting beneath the hood is a naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter AMG V8 pumping out 385 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission which powerw the rear wheels through a Gleason-Thorsen limited-slip differential. A number of optional extras adorn this 560SEC, including AMG headers, an AMG exhaust, and 17-inch 3-piece OZ Racing/AMG ‘Aero’ wheels. There are also Brembo brake calipers at all four corners.
The car is for sale from Symbolic International in California but interestingly, it is listed as being a Euro-spec model and not a U.S. one. It has passed through the hands of three different owners since being produced and has 66,850 miles (107,648 km) on the clock.
While no asking price has been made public, used 560SEC AMGs definitely don’t come cheap, with some low-mileage examples selling for more than $100,000.
