It seems that the craze for six-wheeled SUVs has cooled off, but that doesn’t mean that the their prices are starting to soften. Not at all, as this Defender Flying Huntsman 6×6 listed for sale costs an eye-watering £239,999 ($291,126/€262,549), without tax.
Listed by Kahn, the beast is two years old with one owner in the papers and just 101 miles (km) on the odometer.
It packs amenities such as air conditioning, heated front seats, electric windows, remote central locking and others, but the things that will might help justify its enormous price tag have been added after it rolled off Land Rover’s assembly line.
Aside from the extra axle, it went through a pickup truck conversion and packs a Corvette-sourced, 6.2-liter LS3 V8 that delivers 430 HP to allsix wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Elsewhere, Kahn’s Chelsea Truck Company took care of the design, giving it new front and rear bumpers, tubular side steps, X-lander grille with headlight surrounds, side vents, rear mud flaps, Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover and roll bars, as well as 18-inch wheels with 265/65 Cooper Discoverer A/T3 Sport rubber.
Finally, the interior has received a more upmarket look with lots of leather. The front seats are all new and the custom Defender also features a three-spoke steering wheel, entry sill plates, ‘Investing in British Industry’ and ‘Chelsea Truck Company’ badges, aluminum pedals and a few other special touches, as you can see in our image gallery below.
