The dice network
Cube nets consist of several squares. The squares are connected on the sides. When folded, they make a cube. The squares of the cube network must not be separated during assembly, otherwise it is not a cube network. In the case of a cube, 2 surfaces are always exactly opposite each other (in the picture with the same color).
Three-dimensional structures are called geometric bodies. These include cube, cuboid, prism, pyramid, sphere, cylinder and cone.
The cube as a geometric body
The cube has 8 corners, 12 edges and 6 faces. The edges are the same length.
The cuboid as a geometric body
The cube has 8 corners, 12 edges and 6 faces. Four edges of the cuboid are each of the same length.
The prism as a geometric body
The prism has 6 corners, 9 edges and 5 surfaces.
The pyramid as a geometric body
The pyramid has 5 corners, 8 edges and 5 faces.
The sphere as a geometric body
The sphere has no corners, no edges and 1 surface.
The cylinder as a geometric body
The cylinder has no corners, 2 edges and 3 faces.
The cone as a geometric body
The cone has 1 corner, 1 edge and 2 faces.
Explanations and examples of geometric bodies
Geometric solids are available as cuboids, cylinders, spheres, pyramids or cones. Mathematics geometric bodies - exercises for junior high school, high school, comprehensive school and high school for grade 4, grade 5 and grade 6.
