Is Star Wars overrated

Certain films have to be seen: “Titanic”, for example, has made cinema history, as has the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy or the (first three parts) of the “Star Wars” series. But it is precisely these evergreens, which are considered masterpieces, that people particularly like to hack around.

We asked our readers which legendary films they couldn't stand at all. Dozens of slips reached us. There are devastating judgments about classics that are shown on television every year and that is precisely why they are particularly annoying.

«It takes courage to make such a boring film»

For example, a reader named Daniel writes that he has trauma from "Dirty Dancing". And yet, once a year, his partner presses him to look at it. "What do you not do for the woman you love," he writes. He is not alone in his aversion. Even reader Patricia does not leave a good hair on the dance film with Patrick Swayze (1952–2009). “Women are shown and portrayed as sheer 'dööfi',” she complains.

“Titanic” was also mentioned very often. Fans of the love story about Jack and Rose would probably chase our reader Peter out of town with pitchforks: "You wait three hours until the ship finally sinks," he writes. "It takes courage to make such a boring film."
