Applying for a visa is the last step in the application process. These are forwarded by the university to the Immigration Office in Singapore, where an In-Principal Approval Letter is issued within three to six weeks. Entry into Singapore
German, Austrian and Swiss nationals can enter Singapore without a prior visa. Upon entry, the residence permit is confirmed by a stamp in the passport. The following must be presented: the valid passport (valid for at least 6 months after departure), the in-principal approval letter and the completed one Disembarkation Card (will be given on the plane). The actual visa (student pass) is then issued on site with the help of the university. The Student Pass fee of 90 SGD is paid when applying on-site.

The Student Entry Visa for studying in Vietnam must be applied for and granted before leaving for Vietnam. The visa is usually issued in such a way that it is valid approx. 2-3 weeks before the start of the semester and 2-3 weeks after the end of the semester. If the course lasts longer than a year, the visa will be extended on site after the first year has expired.

After accepting the place and paying the tuition fees, the university applies to the Immigration Office in Malaysia for a Visa Approval Letter. This process can take anywhere from six to eight weeks. The letter confirms that the visa can be issued and is required for entry. As soon as the student receives the Visa Approval Letter, he can take it along with the rest of the documents to the nearest Malaysian Embassy / Consulate to apply for the Single Entry Visa. The following must be presented: the valid passport (valid for at least 14 months after entry), the Visa Approval letter and the offer letter from the university.
Entry into Malaysia
German, Austrian and Swiss citizens can then arrive with the Single Entry Visa. In addition to the Single Entry Visa, the Visa Approval Letter must also be presented upon entry. Within seven days of arriving in Malaysia, all students should go to the International Student Pass (IPS) office at the university, where the mandatory health check-up will be organized and the student pass will be finalized. This process takes four to six weeks.
IMPORTANT: In order to be able to issue the Student Pass, the IPS Office will retain the passport. No trips outside of Malaysia should be planned during this time. As a replacement, a 'confirmation of acknowledgment of receipt of passport' will be issued, which can be used as an identification document within Malaysia.
