Be it periods of defiance, stress at school or puberty: relationships at eye level are the key to family happiness, even in difficult times. The well-known family therapist Jesper Juul describes the essence of his years of work with children and their parents. Using numerous everyday situations, he shows: All the cliffs in life with children are easier to overcome when mutual respect, trust and love are at the center of family life. This book is Jesper Juul's legacy on what really matters in education. It creates a change of perspective and shows: It is not our children who lack respect, but in many situations we adults, almost always unconsciously and unintentionally, lack respect for our children. How we change that and how it benefits parents and children, that's what this book is about.

»From the endeavor (…) to get everything perfect, Jesper Juul advised parents against -› good enough ‹is already great. With this relaxed educational philosophy, Juul has become one of the most influential educational experts today. «DER SPIEGEL

»Jesper Juul laid the foundation for us to rethink respect in our interaction with children and to become aware of the power imbalance between parents and children. So we can work to keep it. «Susanne Mierau

Unfortunately Jesper Juul has since passed away, but he has left us with his great non-parenting methods from which we can learn. I have to say in advance: I have no children. So I can only from perspective Speaking of a former child who was raised according to the Juul method. I have never felt "brought up" and have the best relationship with my parents that I can wish for because they are me (just like Juul in this Book recommends) respected and taken seriously. In this guide, Juul explains why "setting limits" is nonsense and that raising children is much easier if you just give them a good role model know further, as well as for those who are afraid of doing everything wrong with their firstborn (i.e. all). Also suitable as a gift;)
