Can you take expired rolaids
This combination drug is used to treat symptoms caused by too much stomach acid, such as heartburn, upset stomach, or indigestion. It is also used to treat symptoms of extra gas such as bloating and pressure / discomfort in the stomach / intestines. Calcium carbonate is an antacid that works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. Simethicone works by dissolving gas bubbles in the intestines.
Check the ingredients on the label, even if you've used the product before. The manufacturer may have changed the ingredients. Products with similar names may contain different ingredients that are intended for different purposes. Taking the wrong product can hurt you.
How to use Rolaids Plus Gas Relief Tablet?
Take this product as directed. Chew the medicine well before swallowing it. Follow all instructions on the product packaging. Do not take more than the maximum recommended dose stated on the product packaging. If you are not sure about the information, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Let your doctor know if your condition persists or worsens. Do not take the maximum dose of the drug for more than 2 weeks unless directed to do so by your doctor. If you suspect you have a serious medical problem, see a doctor right away.
What Conditions does Rolaids Plus Gas Relief Tablet, Chewable treat?Side effects
Constipation can occur. If this effect persists or worsens, tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
If your doctor has directed you to use this medication, keep in mind that he or she believes that the benefits to you are greater than the risk of side effects. Many people who take this drug do not experience serious side effects.
Tell your doctor right away if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: loss of appetite, nausea / vomiting, unusual weight loss, bone / muscle pain, changes in mind / mood (e.g. confusion), headache, increased thirst / urination. unusual weakness / tiredness.
Tell your doctor straight away if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur: signs of kidney problems (e.g. change in the amount of urine).
A very severe allergic reaction to this drug is rare. See a doctor right away if you experience symptoms of a severe allergic reaction including: rash, itching / swelling (especially of the face / tongue / throat), severe dizziness, shortness of breath.

Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to calcium carbonate or simethicone. or if you have other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients (e.g. soy) that can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more information.
This product should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this product, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: high levels of calcium (hypercalcemia), gastrointestinal disorders.
If you have any of the following health problems, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product: kidney disease (e.g. kidney stones), severe loss of body water (dehydration).
This medicine may contain sugar. If you have diabetes, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether it is safe to use this drug.
If you are pregnant, tell your doctor before taking this medication.
Calcium carbonate gets into breast milk. It is not known whether simethicone is excreted in breast milk. Ask your doctor before breastfeeding.

Interactions with other medications can change the way your medication works or increase the risk of serious side effects. This document does not contain all possible drug interactions. Calcium carbonate can reduce the absorption of other drugs. Examples of affected drugs are tetracycline antibiotics (such as doxycycline, minocycline), bisphosphonates (such as alendronate), estramustine, iron, levothyroxine, pazopanib, strontium, quinolone antibiotics (such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin). Therefore, separate your doses of these drugs from your calcium carbonate doses as much as possible. Ask your doctor or pharmacist how long to wait between doses and how to find a dosage schedule that will work with all of your medications.
Check the labels on all prescription and non-prescription / herbal products (such as supplements, vitamins) as these may contain calcium. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of these products.

When someone has an overdose and has severe symptoms, such as: If you faint or breathe easily, call 911. Otherwise, call a poison control center immediately. Symptoms of overdose include: nausea / vomiting, loss of appetite, mental / mood swings, headache, weakness, dizziness.
Keep all regular medical and laboratory appointments.
Lifestyle changes such as stress reduction programs, smoking cessation, alcohol limits, and diet changes (e.g. avoiding caffeine / certain spices) can help reduce heartburn and other stomach acid problems. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about lifestyle changes that might benefit you.
Store at room temperature, protect from light and moisture. The exact temperature range can be found on the packaging. If you have any questions about storage, ask your pharmacist. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
