What if Darth Vader was never burned

Darth Vader's armor

  • In Revenge of the Sith it was intended that the armor should be greyish white, but the actor of Anakin Skywalker, Hayden Christensen, spoke out against it and so, as in the previous episodes, it was painted black. It was also planned that not Hayden Christensen but another actor should wear the armor, but Christensen expressed the desire to wear the armor himself. Since this was actually intended for someone else, he wore a suit under the armor that was supposed to fill the gaps between the armor and his body.
  • The design of the helmet was heavily influenced by the helmets of the Japanese samurai. When the designer of the armor designed the helmet, he didn't know that it had a backstory (that of Darth Vader) and therefore thought that he just needed a helmet to breathe when he went from the Star Destroyer to Tantive IV went.
  • In an alternate ending to The Force Unleashed Vader survived a long period of time without his mask after his student Galen Marek defeated him.
  • Vader's helmet is central to the Star Wars Miniatures scenario The Theft of Vader's Helmet, which is about the fact that a troop of rebels, led by Han Solo and Chewbacca, stole this helmet and Vader and AdmiralFirmus Piett are trying to recapture it . However, this scenario cannot be considered canonical, as it inevitably ends with the deaths of Vader and Piett or Han and Chewbacca.
  • In the non-canonical comics of the Infinities series, which are based on the "what if?" Principle, Darth Vader survives the fight against Luke Skywalker in the Second Death Star and returns to the light side of the force. In this comic, he wears armor that is absolutely identical to his actual armor, but in contrast to its "predecessor" it is completely white.
