- Diehl Defense - Ammunition, rockets, armored chains (500 million euros in sales of armaments, approx. 2,300 employees)
- Heckler - Pistols, assault rifles and precision rifles (sales of 202 million euros in armaments, approx. 690 employees)
The industry is particularly well represented in Baden-Württemberg. Between 20,000 and 25,000 people work here in the armaments industry, which corresponds to around a quarter of all those employed in this industrial sector across Germany.
